Planning a wedding can be challenging, or it can be fun and exciting. Here are a few resources that - I know - will help make your experience fun and exciting:

A Caution:

We know that we cannot trust everything we find on the Internet.  For example, the website “A Beautiful Affair of the Heart” could imply that it is associated with Ceremonies By Design.  It is not.  All of the resources you see here are folks I’ve worked with myself.  I know them to be trustworthy.

Before you spend money on an officiant or any other services for your wedding, I urge you to require a written contract.  This is the safest way to ensure that you will receive the services you are paying for.

Sometimes, a couple will say to me, “ … we don’t need a contract . . . we trust you.”  Although that is very flattering, we still use a written agreement.  Your wedding is one of the most sacred days of your lives.  My contract is my vow to you that I will honor and protect your sacred day.

Marriage License Information:  The bride and groom are required to apply for a marriage license in person, from the county clerk’s office in which they reside.  Out of state residents must apply for a license in the county where the ceremony will be held.

After the ceremony, it is my responsibility to file the license with the appropriate county’s Register of Deeds office.

Since many counties vary in their fees and hours of operation, here are links to some of the area County Clerk’s offices with marriage licensing information:
